Brianna and Jasons award winning cafe was defiantly not born overnight! The tireless efforts of this business orientated couple pay off in the form of their beautiful and much loved cafe.
The Idea of Esprezzo was developed through Bri's successful family background of business owning and love for hospitality this, combined with Jason's 25 years of experience in the food and drink industry. The two's skill sets put together build a seamless base for a successful business whilst also including the added inspiration of the couples personal relationship.
Esprezzos mission and vision is represented effectively through the cafes Manifesto that includes phrases such as "We believe if you eat a rainbow everyday the pot of gold will be good health", "we believe that good coffee should be the highlight of the suburbs", "We believe all children are born brilliant, treat them as such"
Business values upheld by Esprezzo include their passion for healthy and ethically sourced products. Esprezzo is known for their fair trade coffee, but also use the healthiest ingredients with no GMO's and preservatives included in anything on the menu!
Todays Esprezzo started with the purchase of the pre existing cafe that was gradually changed into the Instagram food hub many flock to today. Bri and Jason chose to purchase a pre existing business because of factors including a lower start up cost and a pre existing customer base to rely on.
Financial steps that were taken to start up the business included:
- Marketing - Cost of set up?
- Finding a great location - Staff hiring and training
- Furniture and equipment - Stock
Bri mentions that her main motivation behind starting the business was her hostility behind being "told what to do". From her fist job at Miss Mauds, Bri's drive to have to flexibility of being her own boss has driven her into a career od successful entrepunureship sparking the innovation of Esprezzo.
Esprezzo's advantage comes in the form of the cafe's healthy outlook on life radiating positivity through the whole cafe. Bris passion for hospitality and love for her business ensures good vibes in every product produced by the cafe. Her above and beyond attitude towards ensuring a good customer experience leave every cafe goer leaving happy.
The couples motto "To stop is to die" keeps Esprezzo ahead of the populated cafe market through their constant innovation. Her in flow and out of flow theory ensures the Cafes success as there is never a dull moment at Esprezzo.
Bri discussed the cycles of business and explained how difficult it can be to avoid the "decline" stage, expressing some of the challenges in running and owing a business. Bri states that in order to avoid the "decline" stage Esprezzo must constantly expand and stay interesting and innovative.
Bri credits her successful team of dedicated staff to the instinctual feeling she gets about people. Bri states that her "gut feeling is usually spot on". Bri also said that simple questions such as "why do you want to work here" will usually condense applicants to only the genuine. As well as this Bri expressed how social media may effect an applicants chances or getting a jobs as she said herself, as an employer will always check out someones social media before hiring them.
